But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the Sacred Writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
(2 Timothy 3:14–15)
The Master Story, beliefs, values, and idea of a Worldview are remembered, recorded and passed on to others through some form of media. (media is the plural of medium)
Media
The tools that we use to record, recall, and communicate information and ideas.
Every worldview has some medium that is trusted more than others to record and transmit its basic beliefs and values. Also, the values and basic tenets of every worldview prescribe which media are capable of being trustworthy.
For some this medium is a Sacred Text like The Bible or the Qu’ran. For some it is the scientific books and journals which record and spread the word about all the latest discoveries. For some it is Vanity Fair or Cosmopolitan or Field and Stream. In our times, worldviews are spread through the multitude of video mediums like movies, television, and all our video devices. The Internet now provides a “multi-media” experience through social media and all the other technologies that are emerging on this powerful platform.
