We were once enemies of God. Now, In Christ through faith, we have peace with Father God – we have been reconciled. We were reconciled to God through Jesus’ death and we will be saved by His life.
In Christ, through faith, we are forgiven. Jesus has removed our sins from us. His blood has cleansed us. This means that Father God has set us free from the guilt and penalty of our sins and He will never hold our sins against us!
We have been “purchased” by God at the price of Jesus’ blood. This is an unfamiliar concept for most of us. However, because of this redemption we have been set free from our slavery to sin and the Devil. These blessings come to us IN Christ, through faith.
Romans 3:23-24
For we all have sinned and fall far short of the glory of God. But we are justified (declared righteous) freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
This week we focus on how Jesus has set us free from our sins. He has done all that is necessary for us to be set in right relationship with God through His faithfulness and sacrifice. When we trust Christ—that His blood has set us free from the guilt and debt of our sins—we are declared to be “in the right,” in right relationship with Father God. In Christ our sins have been removed from us. Because of the redemption, forgiveness and justification that comes to us in Christ, we are also reconciled—put at peace—with God. This peace is not just the absence of hostility, it is the presence of His personal blessing as He now deals with us as His beloved Children.

We were once “sons of disobedience” and “children of wrath.” But now, In Christ, through faith, have been freed from the cruel tyranny of our old “father”—Satan—and have been placed under the love and care of our gracious and merciful Heavenly Father. We are now part of God’s family and He determined this for us, before He created the world!!!
Being “born again” is almost a cliche of Christian jargon. However, the spiritual new birth that comes to us by way of Father God’s great mercy is one of our birthright blessings. It is our “new birth” into all our blessings in Christ.
In Christ, through faith, we have been set apart – sanctified. Everyone who is set apart in Christ is also called a saint. This is not some special designation for a select few; being Sanctified is a birth-right blessing for all who have trusted and are following Christ.
