Shaping a Christ Focused Worldview

Everyone has a worldview. It shapes everything we see and every decision we make. Even it we are not fully aware or our worldview, it moves us and guides us. A worldview is both a vision of life and a vision for life

It is important not only to know what we believe to be true of reality, but also why we believe what we believe. We need a framework which allows us to examine and evaluate our own beliefs and the beliefs of others.

In this 14 week course, students will learn a set of categories and questions that allow them to understand how worldviews work in general. We will also use these categories and questions to help in understanding specific worldviews: Theism, Deism, Naturalism, Nihilism, Existentialism, Eastern Pantheistic Monism, PostModernism.

We will also explore a Bible based, Christ focused worldview and compare its answers to life’s big questions alongside these other worldviews. The ultimate goal of this course is to equip our students with the knowledge and practical habits to live from a Bible based, Christ-focused worldview in light of current cultural challenges.
