Prayers and Support for the Allman Family

For the Body [of Christ] does not consist of one member but of many…
If one member suffers, we all suffer together…”
1 Corinthians 12:14–26

As many of you have heard, Jill’s brother – Jim Allman – suffered a massive stroke on the evening of August 9, 2025. He was rushed to the hospital where life-saving measures were performed that night, and an emergency craniectomy was performed the next day. We are praising the Lord that Jim survived the initial crisis, but the road ahead is filled with many fears and uncertainties. According to his doctors, recovery and rehab will be measured in months, if not years. No one but our Father-God knows what the road ahead looks like, and we are trusting in Him to meet all their needs through the love and support of the Body of Christ in the months ahead.

If you would like to help, you can do so in the following ways:

Pray

“The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:28)

Join us in prayer for Jim, his sweet wife Abbey, and their two boys Asher and Asa. We are asking for healing, wisdom, and endurance. We don’t know how to pray as we should, but trust and take comfort that the Holy Spirit is interceding for us in our weakness.

Please share this page and the other links here in all the ways you can where you think it may help. The Lord has already answered so many prayers by simply getting the word out.

If you would like to have updates on Jim’s progress, we are posting updates through Caring Bridge.

Give

Mosaic Church Memphis – the Allman’s church family – has established a benevolence fund to help with the ongoing costs of Jim’s recovery. Due to the long term nature of Jim’s recovery, his paid leave and disability will be used up fairly quickly. We know there are many family and friends who will want to help alleviate some of that burden.
